Tyronn Lue Says The Cavaliers Must ‘get Rid Of Our Agendas’ To Get Back On The Right Track

The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t looking too good. Head coach Tyronn Lue flat out stated that if the team wants to win again, they have some personal housecleaning they need to do, per ESPN.

“We’ve got to be better,” Lue said after the Cavs lost for the seventh time in the past 10 games. “We know that. But until we play better defensively, I think offensively sharing the basketball, everyone on the same page — and if guys have agendas, we’ve got to get rid of our agendas and play the right way.”

Asked what he meant by “agendas,” Lue declined to elaborate, saying he meant “just what I said.”

The Cavaliers lost their second consecutive game last night, to the Toronto Raptors, 133-99. Both losses were at least by 28 points. This is also the third consecutive game the Cavaliers allowed 127 points or more. Not to mention, the Cavaliers only scored 88 points in a loss against the Boston Celtics last week. LeBron James had his comments regarding what Lue implied about the team.

“I mean, I would hope not,” James said. “I don’t [have an agenda]. At this point, three and a half, four years in this thing, I hope not.

It shouldn’t be surprising that the Cavaliers are frustrated. The Kyrie Irving-for-Isaiah Thomas trade rocked the boat. The team was without Thomas to start the season and he just came back last week. While the Cavaliers are still third in the Eastern Conference, judging from the past few performances, they aren’t where they need to be. Last night, we saw James let his frustrations out during a timeout.

>Next: Curry might be having his best season yet.

Whomever Lue is referring to, may need to lose their agendas quick. If not, this Cavaliers team may not return to the NBA Finals.
